I cannot begin to explain how incredibly impressed I was by the food, service, ambiance, and overall experience I had at Sangria's this evening. We had a reservation (which I highly recommend, because we saw the place fill up once we were seated!) From the second we walked in, we felt very welcome - the hostess showed us to our seat and before we could even sit, the waitress was there filling our water glasses and explaining the menu.
Our waitress, Audra, was FANTASTIC. She first asked if we were familiar with tapas style dining, which we were, and then proceeded to explain the specials for the evening.
We ordered a pitcher of the Portuguese style sangria, which was fantastic! It was a white wine sangria with passion fruit puree - if nothing else, try this when you go!! One pitcher was enough for 4 people, but we could have easily ordered two, especially for as reasonably priced as it is!
We then all ordered the salad, and the waitress was nice enough to explain each selection to us to make sure that's what we really wanted. One of my friends, upon hearing the description, changed her mind to a different salad. This was a great move on the waitresses part, because she made sure we all knew what we were getting.
And then, the TAPAS! Oh my, my mouth is salivating just thinking of what we devoured! We ordered 6 small plates for 4 of us, and while although I thought it wasn't enough food at first, it ended up being the perfect amount! We had coconut curried shrimp, fresh cheese with pepper jelly, the OLIVES (omg!) the fried eggplant (which tasted like EGGPLANT, not just like fried batter) the mac and cheese, and cinnamon sweet potato fries. Everything was fresh and delicious!
For dessert we split the angelhair rice pudding, based on the waitresses suggestion, and we were NOT disappointed.
The waitress was exceptional, she checked in with us often, but not too much, our water glasses were never empty. The owner was present the entire evening and made his way to every table to chat and see how everyone was doing. The bathrooms are beautiful - which I think is a representation of a business as a whole (attention to detail!) We were even offered a complimentary tasting of the white port wine - which was a great way to end a great meal! We sat and talked for a while after we settled the bill, and never felt rushed, even on a busy friday night!
Our bill, for drinks, appetizers, tapas, and dessert for 4 people came to under $100! For the great food and exceptional service, I will absolutely return and suggest this restaurant to others! Well done, Sangria's, thank you for helping to revitalize downtown Attleboro!

Very solid restaurant in downtown Attleboro - I am thrilled! I met a girlfriend for dinner last week and really enjoyed everything we ate. My absolute favorite was the Curry Chicken. It had peppadew peppers and was very tasty without the sauce being way too strong. We also had garlic sauteed shrimp, marinated olives, macaroni and cheese, and hummus with pita chips. Everything we ate was very, very good. The pita chips were definitely not low fat but OMG, they were delish. We also had some chocolate mousse for dessert and it was great!
Visually it is a very pleasing atmosphere. Hip, yet relaxed and comfortable. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. Really, I did not have anything negative to say about our experience, which is a fairly uncommon thing. haha. I did not give 5 stars because I reserve that for food and experiences that truly blow me out of the water but I felt Sangria's was definitely a solid 4 star. I look forward to going back and trying additional tapas. I will definitely be returning!

FTER a bit researching on the net for reviews and menus, we decided to chance and eat at SANGRIA's last evening and was BEYOND delighted and pleasantly IMPRESSED with the food and drinks. Packed with dinners ,this restaurant is TOP notch for quality and freshness for innovative Poutugess food and rates right up there with many BOSTON and PROVIDENCE eateries. Only open since the first of the year, Sangria's brings a step up in local fine dining and I know we will be making this a regular dining out establishment...KUDOS and MUCH success Sangria's.

Friendly staff, great service, nice management contact, and a huge menu with many tapas with interesting choices. Nice cocktail menu and good wine section.
The ambiance is really cool and is in a old building that was nicely re-done. The whole place has the feel of a place that could make it in Boston which is real nice to have in Attleboro. The most important part is that the food is good and very fairly priced.

ALSO being portuguese, i thought this place was absolutely delicious. Anyone who doesn't know the meaning of a "tapas" restaurant would not know the portions are small and usually range from about $3-sometimes $50, AND you are supposed to order at least 4 tapas plates per 2 people, (or less if you ordering entrees).
My friend and I went this past weekend and ordered a pitcher of sangria, the farinheira, two orders of the presunto mac and cheese, and the entree carne porco alentejana, then for dessert we both had the rice pudding.
i was impressed with our bill being under $80.
So anyone saying it is over priced, is out of their mind.
I have been to quite a few tapas places from rhode island, mass, to all the way over in LA. Sangrias by far, between the service, quality of food, authenticity of their food selections, and incredible atmosphere blew me away.
Most of the recipes on here even reminded me of my grandmothers, EVEN great great grandmothers recipes whom derived from Portugal and Mozambique.
On a side note to "Courtney A.", You clearly need to brush up on your portuguese food pallet and realize this place is one of the best things to happen to this town.
Thank you Sangrias for having the most delicious foods, and beverages. Your sangria is better than any chain restaurant or high end restaurant i've ever been to. I recommend the "Portuguese Passion" Sangria pitcher. It's sweet and packs a punch.
